Six steps to your first session
The app is designed to be easy to use. Large text, simple navigation, one thing at a time.
Download the app
Search "ReSpeak Therapy" in the App Store, or ask your SLP for the direct link. It is free. No payment or account required to start.
Link to your therapist (optional)
If your SLP uses ReSpeak, they will give you a short code. Enter it in the app to connect your sessions to their dashboard. You can also use the app without linking.
Choose an exercise
The app shows your assigned exercises at the top. Tap one to begin. Each session guides you through a set of words or sentences one at a time.
Listen, then speak
Most exercises play an audio model first. Listen, then tap the microphone and record your attempt. Take your time. The app waits for you.
Use the hints if you need them
If you get stuck, a hint appears automatically. The first hint describes the word. The second gives you the starting sound. Using hints is not failing. It is how the exercise is designed to work.
Practice a little each day
Ten to twenty minutes a day is enough. Daily short sessions produce better results than one long session per week. Your SLP can see your sessions and will adjust your exercises over time.
