Cueing hierarchy reference, target word tracking sheets, and accuracy logs for home naming practice. Use alongside exercises assigned by your speech-language pathologist.
Use this order. Start at Level 1 and move to the next level only if the patient cannot produce the word after 5-10 seconds. Record the cue level used for each trial.
| Level | Cue type | Example | When to use |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Semantic (category) | "It is a piece of furniture you sit on" | Always try this first |
| 2 | Semantic (function) | "You use it to eat soup" | If Level 1 fails after 10 seconds |
| 3 | Initial phoneme | "Ch..." or "Sp..." | If Level 2 fails |
| 4 | Syllable count | Tap once for each syllable | If Level 3 fails |
| 5 | Rhyme cue | "Sounds like 'share'" | If Level 4 fails |
| 6 | Full model | "Chair. Can you say chair?" | Last resort — patient repeats |
Fill in with your SLP-assigned target words. Record accuracy code for each trial.
